Im living somewhere in an alternate reality - almost a zombie-like state - where your brain goes into auto-pilot. Im absolutely useless most days when it comes to anything I used to be perfectly capable of; paying bills, remembering things, holding a
CONVERSATION. My main concerns are to not lose a child or my sanity completely.
(as if these are uncharted waters right??) Most days Im covered in baby spit up or projectile poo. Im perpetually sweating - either from the milk production or trying to keep my germy 20 mos old from coughing on my newborn, Im not sure.
I remember when the Pediatrician told me my only goal the first year with 2 under 2 should be to survive. Ha. If only I had known then that he wasnt joking.
I checked in with mommy-friends and was assured that around 2-3 weeks you start feeling normal again. Im starting the countdown and hoping to be back to semi-normal in about 3 days ... Give or take a year.

Hi! I don't know how I stumbled across your blog a couple of months ago but I love it! (I even copied your pregnancy quiz idea) I have a 22 month old and am due in 8 weeks - so reading your blog is like chatting with a friend about what is going on in my life right now. I dread those first few weeks - hang in there. It will be my turn soon! Send me an email if you want to read my blog (it is private) shae.wilson@yahoo.com
Hang in there Mama!!
oH, how I feel your pain! My day usually consists of this exact thing. Plus a few "I can do this, I can do this...." Your son is adorable by the way!
Our journey has begun!... secretly though =)
If I’ve left you this message, you’re a follower of my original blog. Though I won’t be revealing who I am just yet – until we’re TO and THROUGH the first trimester! Just getting the word out about our new site – further explanation of all the secrecy and what we’re about on my first post now up. I’d love for you to stop by. Exciting things going on around here!

What a cute blog! Your family is gorgeous. Congrats on bambino #3. I, too, remember how weird it was to adjust to the "new norma." You'll be in the swing of things before you know it!
