Progress in Baby's Room

Check out our nursery progress from this weekend ... My husband put up wainscoting and painted the walls a perfect shade of 'Acapulco Seas' ;)

20 WEEKS!! I'M HALFWAY THRU ...

Im 5 months now and halfway thru this pregnancy.

I have the 'big' ultrasound in a week and will post updates on Baby Brooklyn's growth & development! My pregnancy book says that she should be around 10 oz. at this point ...

the reason for my insanity ...

so all in all, i Like to blog ... i do. 

Its like journaling ... although in a way. less. private way.

BUT my other reason for starting this blog was to share my pregnancy and other utterly useless details with my sister Alexa - who lives entirely too far away for me.  

I was hoping she would follow it and she DOES! My sister is a FULL-TIME mom and wife in every sense of the term ... she's *busy*. and rightfully so. 

So, Alexa - this entry is to tell you *how* glad I am that you read along ... and now you need to start your own blog! So I can follow up on all the happenings down there. Oh - and the first pic should be Jack in the Train!! Love ya!

25% Blue, 75% Green

According to the internet (which is where I learn everything i know ;) Our baby's eyes have a 25% chance of being blue and 75% chance of being Green.

my husband lies to me.

so I went to the dr. yesterday for a non-preg related reason and the usual nurse wasnt there. Theres another girl filling in for her who Ive seen several times but not in the past few months.

 

She takes my BP, my temp and then asks me to hop on the scale. She weighs me, walks over and calculates my BMI - which indicates to me that she has no idea im PG.  

 

We walk in the room & I tell her my issue and she goes on to ask the standard questions - are you on any medications ? "no." when was your last menstraul cycle? (hehe - this should be fun.) "Januaury 19th." To which she replies, "JANuary?" as if I miscommunicated the month. :) "yeah - january 19th" She cocked her head a little and started to ask more questions when I finally told her im 20 weeks pregnant. 

 

"Oh my Gosh! Congrats! You dont look pregnant!!! Oh my - 20 weeks! wow."  -  Then she says, " well, i noticed your face looked a little different"

 

*gasp* WHAT?! you mean my husbands been lying to me?!?! ;) He says my face hasnt changed at all - He said that my face looks exactly the SAME. He also said you cant even tell from the back - was that a LIE TOO!? 

 

LIAR!!! :P
